Mary Virginia Buys, 85, of Steele, died Monday, March 21, 2011 in Hayti.
Born May 6, 1925 in Holland, she is the daughter of the late William Edwards and Mary Northern Edwards.
She was also preceded in death by one son; Tommy Buys; three sisters, Patricia Stevers, Lavada Norrid and Lavern Nokomis Hall; and two brothers, Oliver and Cleveland Edwards.
Mary was united in marriage to Lawrence Eston Buys. He preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Holland High School and a member of the First Baptist Church in Steele.
She worked for a number of years for Wiremold Plastic.
Mrs. Buys leaves one daughter, Teresa and Brian Keyser, of Abingdon, Md.; and Twin grandsons, Daniel and Joshua Keyser.
Graveside services for Mrs. Buys was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Rev. Michael Funderburk officiating.
Pallbearers were Jim Clark, Brian Keyser, Sonny Laden, Rev. Michael Funderburk, Chub Morgan and Eldridge Gray.
