"Legacy
There once was a giant born into this glorious land of ours.
He was big and strong still gentle and gay with a spirit that reached the stars.
He had a magic cloak, this giant man, that enveloped all he loved
It protected them from hurt and want, and a world that pushed and shoved.
This cloak of his was a marvelous one that was open for all to use
Full of warmth and wisdom, love and strength, and protection from worldly abuse
It covered wife and child, and friend and foe, with soft and gentle touch
Which strengthened each in a special way that came to mean so much
This giant has gone from this mortal land to his makers place in the stars
But his glorious, wonderful, magic cloak remains to cover our scars
To Dad October 10, 1964"
