Linda Jean Miller, a resident of Willow Springs, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016, while at her home. She was born on June 20, 1949, to Gene Mill and Neoma Mill in Girard, Kansas.
Linda was married to John E. Miller, Jr. on March 20, 1970 in Miami, Oklahoma.
Throughout her life, Linda was many things to many people. Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, were just a few of the many roles she played in the lives of the people that she loved. After spending many years in the medical field, being a volunteer firefighter for the Willow Springs Fire Department, and a waitress, Linda retired in December of 2011 at the age of 62. In her retirement, Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to yard sales, playing cards, going to the casino, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John Gene Mill and Neoma Mill-Green; husband, John E. Miller, Jr.; and Brothers, Randy Mill and Thomas Green.
Linda is survived by sons; Jim and wife, Tammy, of Willow Springs, Missouri and their children, Michael and BreAnna; and great-grandchild, Dalton Combs; John and wife, Joanne, of Willow Springs, Missouri and their children, Damon and Bethany; and one daughter, Candy Miller of Baxter Springs, Kansas. She is further survived by two brothers and four sisters. Virgil Mill of Wichita, Kansas; Kay Goodwin of Arcadia, Kansas; Tammy Elam of Battlefield, Missouri; Debra Everitt of Pittsburg, Kansas; Phillip Green of Pittsburg, Kansas; and Connie Scholes of Pittsburg, Kansas.; father-in-law, John E. Miller, Sr. of Willow Springs, Missouri; brother-in-law, David Miller of Plato, Missouri; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services for Linda will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Westside Family Life Center, located at 1274 County Road 5270 in Willow Springs with Pastor David Lovan officiating. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, June 7 from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Willow Funeral Home, located at 106 E. Third Street in Willow Springs. Memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s name to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or Westside Children’s Fund.
