Funeral services were held August 9, 1979 at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele for Mrs. Susie Medlin Covington, 66. Rev. Leroy Maxie officiated.
Mrs. Covington was born June 9, 1913 in Brownsville, Tenn., and died August 6, 1979 in the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
She leaves her husband, James Covington, of the home in East Carondelet, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Channell of Steele and Mrs. Katherine Wright of Depo, Ill.; and one brother, Homer Medlin of Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Kenny Wright, Marvin Channell, Jerry Scott, Clyde Medlin, Jr., Pride Medlin and Charles Galbraith.
Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery with German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
