Mrs. Ivalee Christopher passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008 while at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Mo. Born on March 13, 1934, in Mountain Grove, Mo., to George and Freda Richmond, she was 73 years old. Ivalee was raised in Dawson, Mo., and graduated from Mountain Grove High School. On Sept. 5, 1952, Ivalee married John T. Christopher in Mountain Grove, Mo., and the couple eventually settled in Willow Springs. Ivalee had many enjoyments in her life such as crocheting, golfing, and camping at Bidwell Point in Mountain Home, Ark.; however, she mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and was described as a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be missed on Friday's at Toby D's for her weekly beauty appointment and lunch afterward with her granddaughter Chrissy. Ivalee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John T. Christopher on Oct. 31, 2005; and a son, Harold Max Christopher on May 26, 2003. Mrs. Christopher is survived by her daughter, Brenda "Sue" Kidwell and her husband Bob of Willow Springs; grandchildren Kyle Kidwell of West Plains; Chrissy Crudgington and her husband Jeremy of Willow Springs, and Shirley Brown of West Plains. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren Austin Kidwell of West Plains; and Wyatt, Landon and Aspen Crudgington, and Paisley (who is on the way) all of Willow Springs. Ivalee will be dearly missed by her special friend and domino partner Opal Pierce. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Willow Funeral Home, located at 106 E. Third Street in Willow Springs. The funeral is scheduled for Thursday, March 6, at 2 p.m. at Westside Family Life Center, located at 1274 County Road 5270 in Willow Springs. Burial will follow Thursday's service at the Willow Springs City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home in Willow Springs.
