A former Rives resident, Emma Knott, died April 6, 1975, at St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, Ill. A Dundee Ill., resident, she was born May 15, 1890.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, April 9, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the German-Aumon Funeral Home with the Rev. Gaylon Williams officiating. She was the widow of Joseph Knott.

Mrs. Knott leaves four daughters: Martha Hudgens, Immokalee, Fl., Etta Porter, Rolla; Drucilla Marbrey, Broda, Mich.; and Roxie Butler, East Dundee, Ill.; two sons: Goodman Knott, Montgomery, Ala.; and Joseph Knott, Immokalee; two step-children: Minnea Moore, Luxora, AR., and Melvin Knott, Pensacola, FL.; and 24 grandchildren.
Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers weere Thomas Payne, Voyd Martin, Donald Weaver, Jim Jones, Carlos Neal and Billy Daniel.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 2, 1945 at 2:30 o'clock for Joe Knott, well-known farmer of the Holland community, who died Tuesday morning at 6:30, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. T.E. Lorren, near Holland.
The rev. Gerald Gregory of Holland, officiated, at the services after which burial was made in Mount Zion cemetery, Steele.
Mr. Knott, who moved to this section of Missouri five years ago from Cleveland County, Alabama, had been making his home with his daughter and her family for the past four months. He was 69.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Knott, who lives with the Lorrens; two sons, Melvin Knott, overseas with the Navy, and Joseph Porter of Holland; four daughters: Mrs. Vernon Franklin of Chickamauga, Ala., Mrs. Velma Lorren of Williamsburg, Ky., Miss Roxie Knott and Mrs. T.E. Lorren, both of Holland; a sister, Mrs. James Bryan of Piedmont, Ala.; a brother, Will Knott of Jacksonville, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
German undertaking Company was in charge of arrangements.
