Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Prospect Church for William Robert Tindle, 78, long-time Christian County resident, who died Saturday. The Rev: Reg Mapes officiated at the services. Burial was in the Prospect cemetery under direction of the Chaffin Funeral home. Mr. Tindle was born in Indiana December 28, 1871, the son of John C. and Mary D. Tindle. He came to Christian County as a child and spent the remainder of his life here: He married Ida A. Kessinger November 17, 1895. To them 12 children were born, three of whom preceded him in death. He was a member of the Mt: Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow; Mrs. Ida Tindle, five sons, Reg, Arthur, Frank, Ralph and Nile; four daughters, Mrs. Ramah Bray, Mrs. Velma Baird, Mrs. Clarice Grubaugh and Miss Marion Edla Tindle; two brothers, Edd and Jess Tindle; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl McCoy and Mrs. Maude Bain; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren
