1863 Italy - 1938 Lilbourn, New Madrid, MO

John Rose, 79, father of Mrs. A.T. Earls, formerly of Steele, passed away Thursday morning at the Earls' home near Lilbourn. In the report brought here by "P.G." Morgan, it was stated that Mr. Rose had not been ill, however, this morning he was heard when he fell in his room and struck his head against some object. The injury was believed to have been serious and he did not regain consciousness. It is expected that the funeral will occur tomorrow (Friday) and burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.
