WELL KNOWN FORMER BENTON COUNTIAN DIED RECENTLY
News of the death of J.G. Sears, aged 87, of Granby, Mo., which occurred there on Friday, March 6th, was of interest to many Benton County people. Mr. Sears, familiarly known as “Uncle Jimmie,” lived for many years near Gentry. He was 87 years old at this death.
He is survived by his wife and three children, Arthur Sears of Granby, Mrs. J.N. Dillinger of Albuquerque, N.M. and Mrs. C.D. Hastings of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Relatives from this section who attended the funeral services at Granby were W.H. Sears, a brother, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Shores, all of Cave Springs, Oscar Sears and family, Mrs. J.N. Soapes, and Mr. and Mrs. Will Schell of Bentonville, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Shores and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Roderick of Rogers.
