Walter Herman Kirst, age 72, of Nixa, passed away Monday, October 10, 2005. He was born July 3, 1933, in Sharp County, Ark., and was a graduate of West Plains High School. He served his country in the Army National Guard from 1951 until 1959.
He retired from Dayco. Survivors include his mother, Catherine Elizabeth (Breckle) Kirst, of the home; two brothers, Alfred Kirst, San Jose, Calif., and Richard Kirst, Maryville, Tenn.; nephews, and nieces. His father, Otto Paul Ernst Kirst, preceded him in death as well as a sister, Maxine Hogue. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.,
Wednesday, October 12, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow in McConnell Bledsoe Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, in the funeral home. Springfield News-Leader, October 11, 2005.
