Wanda Clemons, age 85, of Nixa, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011. She was born June 4, 1926 in Protem, the daughter of Doley and Ola (Magness) Pride.

She graduated from Forsyth High School, and on February 27, 1947 she and James A.B. Clemons were united in marriage. In 1952 the family moved to Nixa where they dairy farmed until 1960. They then raised Angus cattle until recently.

Survivors include: Her daughter Katrina Clemons, of the home; sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death her husband, A.B. on November 18, 2010, her son, Doyle Clemons in 2008, two sisters, four brothers, and her parents.

Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 PM Monday, February 7, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM in McConnell-Bledsoe Cemetery.

James A. B Clemons, 89, of Nixa, passed away in St. John's Hospital Thursday, November 18, 2010.
A. B. was born in Protem, Missouri, the son of Ben Clemons and Leva Mashburn Clemons on May 3, 1921. He served his country proudly in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He was a retired farmer and cattle rancher. He was united in marriage to Wanda Pride on February 27, 1947. He had been a long time resident of the Nixa community. He took great pride in his dairy farming and later raised prize award-winning black Angus and Apaloosa horses.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; one daughter, Katrina Clemons, of the home; two sisters, Helen Jennings, of Protem, and Edna Clarkson, of Forsyth; a brother-in-law, Bill Pride and his wife Iola, Nixa; a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Doyle; his sisters, Naomi Bailey and Sybil Meredith; and a brother Dewey Billy Clemons.
A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, November 22nd at 1 p.m., in the McConnell-Bledsoe Cemetery, Nixa.
