Beverly Jane Greene, 63, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015, in Jackson, Tenn., where she was a resident. She was born in Hayti on July 22, 1951, to the late Eugene and Pauline Gillette. She graduated high school from Senath-Hornersville in 1969. After graduating high school, she earned her bachelor's degree in education from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Ark. She was married to David Greene on March 17, 1973. She was a dedicated elementary school teacher in the South Pemiscot school system for 12 years. For the last 18 years of her life, she loved being a homemaker. She greatly loved her husband of 42 years and cherished spending time with her family - especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Pauline Gillette, and one brother, Greg Gillette.
Survivors of Mrs. Greene include her husband, David Greene, of Jackson, Tenn.; two sons, Mike Greene, and his wife, Brandi, of Jackson, Mo., and Brad Greene, of Deerfield, Fla.; three grandchildren, Emma, Andrew and Bella; three siblings, Phillip Gillette, of Little Rock, Ark., Paulette Fullerton of Searcy, Ark., and Connie Davis, of Rives, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Greene were held Monday, July 13 at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Michael Greene officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brian Gillette, Shane Fullerton, Wes Gillette, Zach Moon, Jarrod Green and Josh Ketchum.
John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
