Funeral services were held at the German Funeral Home in Steele Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Loretta Vied, 76, who died at her home there on Friday, March 4. Mrs. Vied was born in Obion County, Tenn., but had lived in the Steele vicinity for the past 48 years. She was the widow of the late Will Vied.
She is survived by five sons, Martin Vied of Wyatt, Mo., Ocle, Pete and Allie Vied all of Steele and Raymond Vied, in the Army and stationed in California; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Brown of Steele, Mrs. Arch Cole of Bragg City and the former Miss Gertie Vied of Clarksdale, Miss.; three sisters, Mrs. Willie Kirk of Braggadocio, Mrs. Johnnie Douglas of Steele and Mrs. Byrd Vied of this city; also several grandchildren.
