Mrs. Glenda Louise Allison Winter, 62, the daughter of the late Arra and Dora Taylor Allison, died June 3, 2013 in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born September 2, 1950, in Steele, Mo.

On May 13, 1991, she was united in marriage to Leroy Winter in Steele. Glenda was of the Pentecostal faith and worked for many years at Borg Warner in Blytheville, Ark.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Lester, Charles, Tony and Chester Allison; and six sisters: Mary Lou Scott, Etta Gray, Mildred Southard, Tilda Wiseman, Dora Hays and Ruth Carlton.

Survivors include her husband, Leroy Winter, of Steele; two brothers, Jessie Allison of Steele and Kenneth Allison of Fenton, Mo.; four step-daughters, Cynthia Marshall of Little Rock, Ark.; Lisa Hunt of Dyersburg, Tenn.; Charlotte Winter, also of Dyersburg; and Phobie Rogers of Blytheville; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted June 6, 2013 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with the Rev. Gary Andrews, Sr. officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.

Pallbearers included Bubba Allison, Anthony Allison, Chad Hollingsworth, Aaron Albrecht, C.J. White and Troy Marshall.

Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
