Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 5, 1978 at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele. The Rev. Joe Smith officiated and Mrs. Bethel Lester was the organist.
Mr. Perry was born November 1, 1908 and died March 3, 1980 at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital at the age of 81.
He leaves his wife, Lizzie Perry, of the home; one daughter, Jessica Perry , of Simi Valley Calif., his mother, Mrs. Eunice Perry of Steele, and one grandson, Kevan Perry of Simi Valley.
Pallbearers were Gardner Norrid, Danny Flowers, Olan Pierce, Ray Pugh, Keith Flowers and Woody Howren.
Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery near Steele with arrangements by German-Aumon Funeral Home.
Lizzie L. Perry, 88, died July 9, 1999 at the River Oaks Care Center in Steele. She was born on May 8, 1911, in Tremont, Miss., the daughter of the (late) Floyd Crocker and Mattie Green Crocker.
Perry had lived at the same address for nineteen years and was a faithful member of the Faith Pentecostal Church of Holland.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie Hill and Mildred Wiseman, both of Steele; one step-daughter, Jessica Ann Perry of California; two sisters, Elodie Scott of Caruthersville and Louise Crossno of Steele; a granddaughter, Sharon Ganus of Steele; 21 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
Services were held Sunday, July 11, 1999, at the Faith Pentecostal Church in Holland, with Rev. Charles Faught officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
