Cloye Lee Solomon Abels of Savannah, Tenn. formerly of Steele, died March 9, 1993 at Savannah. She was a laundry worker, nurses aide and farm laborer.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Derevage and Ruth Ann Hardin, both of Savannah; a step-daughter, Verlene Murphy of Savannah; two step-sons, Walter and Hershel Abels, both of Savannah; two brothers, Jim Solomon of Steele and Ernie Solomon of Blytheville; a sister, Nellie Louise Hardin of Caruthersville. Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were March 10, at Shackelford Funeral Home chapel in Savannah and March 12 at 1 p.m. at Bradshaw's German-Aumon Funeral Home chapel in Steele, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 2, 1978 at 2:00 p.m. in the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel for Ottis H. Abels, 69, 0f Savannah, Tn. Rev. Roy Handley conducted the service.
Mr. Abels was born February 6, 1909 at Savannah, Tn., and died September 30, 1978 in the Veterans Hospital in Memphis. He leaves his wife, Cloye Solomon Abels of the home in Savannah; three daughters, Mrs. Verlene Murphy of Memphis, Mrs. Shirley Derevage and Mrs. Ruth Hardin, both of Savannah; two sons, Walter and Hershel Abels, both of Savannah; three sisters, Grace Fulgham of Hayti, Addie Ferrell of Poplar Bluff, and Jessie Mae Milstid of Savannah; three brothers, Albert, Jack, and Elmer Abels all of Savannah; and 14 grandchildren.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pall bearers were Roland Abels, Terry J. Abels, Hershal C. Harden. Walter Abels, Elmer Abels and Barry D. Abels.
