Mrs. Fern Fennell, born December 15, 1931, in Lawrence County, Ala., died August 29, 1985, at the Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Fennell was employed at the Caruthersville Ship Yard for seven years as a welder.
The daughter of the late Elbert and Ruby Holt, she was united in marriage to A.B. Fennell in March, 1979. Her son, Raymond C. Howard, preceded her in death in 1976.
She leaves her husband, A.B. Fennell of Holland; Two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Jacobs of Carpentersville, Ill., and Mrs. Nancy Mitchell of Hammond, Ind.; Three step-sons, Jimmy Fennell of Holland, David Fennell of California and Allen Fennell of Oklahoma; Three step-daughters Mrs. Vicki Hinklin of Cooter, Mrs. Nancy Wright of Steele and Mrs. Debbie Jumper of Steele; Two brothers and four sisters; and Twenty grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 31, at 4 p.m., at The John W. German Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Haynes officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were Charles Boone, Tommy Raidt, Clinton Curry, Anthony Norris, Danny Wright and Charles Morgan.
