Funeral services were held at the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 for Frank Hurt. The pastor, Rev. W.E. Hall, officiated with interment in the Mount Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Hurt who was 60 years, 5 months and 17 days of age, passed away Sunday at 6:15 p.m. at the Blytheville Hospital. Mr. Hurt had been in ill health for the past two years but had been in the hospital only a short while when he died.

Mr. Hurt was a retired farmer and maintenance man for the Missouri Highway Dept.

To fulfill a request which had been made by Mr. Hurt, the funeral choir was composed of children age 12 years and under.

Active pallbearers were Tom Burns, J.W. Neil, Buck Weaver, Elvin Creech, Tom Lewis and Billy Williams.

Honorary pallbearers were Lewis Frazier, Gus Cooper, Everett Flowers, Abie Rushing, Tom Perry and Guy Azbill.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ova Hurt, Cooter; one sister, Mrs. Oro Duffie, Highland, Calif., and several nieces including Mrs. Gerthery Wilson of Blytheville.

German Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements

Services for Mrs. Ova Hurt, 79, of Cooter, who died Aug. 20th in Blytheville, Ark., were held at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 22nd at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter with the Rev. Joe Smith officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
She was born Feb. 19th, 1900 in McJester, Ark., and was the widow of the late Frank Hurt.
Survivors include one sister, Amy Fallon of Pangburn, Ark.; three nieces, Mary Dennis of Cooter, Mary Bunch of Jonesboro, Ark., and Rebecca Golemon of Roswell, N.M.; and two nephews, M.E. Graham of Albuquerque, N.M. and J.E. Graham of San Jose, Calif.
Pallbearers were J.W. Ne;;, Carl Hamel, Hooper Azbill, Paulus Alexander, Dale McClure and Marvin Childers.
