Joseph Robert Price, 89, of Holland, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006 at the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens(Hospital) in Hayti.
Born May 27, 1917 in Pemiscot County, he was the son of the late Joseph Robert and Lilly LaVanner Williams Price. He was united in marriage to Georgia Savannah Hodge who also preceded him in death.
He was a sanitation engineer.
Mr. Price leaves three children: Willie Price of Holland, Robert Wayne Price of Hopkinsville, Ky., Lillian Renfro of Lauclaire, Mich.; One sister-in-law: Mildred Price of Texas; Thirteen grandchildren; Five great-grandchildren; and Two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Price were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Willie Price officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Powell Funeral Home in charge of services.

Georgia Savannah Hodge Price, 78, of Steele, Mo., died Thursday, October 9, 2003 at her home.
Born Thursday, July 16, 1925, in Holland, Mo., she was the daughter of the late James Alfred Hodge and Sudie Frances Davis Hodge. She was also preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Margaret Rose Renfrow; one brother, Bud Hodge; and two sisters, Eunice Jackson and Evelyn Sanford.
Georgia was united in marriage to Joseph Robert Price on June 29, 1948, in Holland.
She was retired from Essex Wire Company in Michigan and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Mrs. Price leaves her husband, Joseph Robert Price of Steele; Two sons: Robert Wayne Price of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Willie Price of Steele; One daughter, Lillian Renfrow of Steele; One sister, Irene Moore of Dowagiac, Mich.; Thirteen grandchildren; and Four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Price were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 12, 2003, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Rev. Jim Skaggs officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Bradshaw-Powell Funeral home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were Jerry Lee Skaggs, Steve Butler, Lloyd Farrow, Ryan Price, Dustin Price and Jeremy Sanders.
