Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon, June 9th, for Francis Augusta Beeding, known in Steele as Gus, who passed away early Tuesday morning at the Presnell Hospital in Kennett.
Mr. Beeding was born on August 1, 1885, near Dyer, Tenn., but came to this community over 50 years ago. He had been driving a taxi in declining health for some time.
He was married to Miss Mandy Ozment on December 24, 1908, and to this union were born three children. His wife and two children preceeded him in death.
He is survived by one son, Hans Beeding of Steele, and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Hobert Poteet, Sam Ellis, Henry Lovelace, L.W. Weaver, G.G. Southern and C.S. Allbritton.
Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ in Steele, with Bro. Alton James officiating. Interment was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery and German Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Beeding were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Church of Christ with Bro. Marvin Rainey and Bro. James Braswell officiating.

Mrs. Beeding, wife of Gus Beeding, died Friday morning, July 6, 1951 at Blytheville Hospital following a short illness. She was 65.

Survivors include her husband and one son, Hans Beeding and three grandchildren, all of Steele.

Interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery with German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were: Hobart Poteet, J.L. Whitfield, David Whitfield, Baxter Southern, Ralph Hall and J.W. Rinehart.
