After an illness of several months Mrs. Millie May Wagster died at her home in Cooter Monday morning at the age of 55 years, 2 months and 19 days. Mrs. Wagster was the wife of St. L. Wagster, a prominent business man of Cooter.
Mrs. Wagster, formerly Millie Mae Nicholson was born May 10, 1880 at Noblesville, Indiana, moving to Paragould, Ark., when quite young. She was married to Mr. Wagster February 12, 1906, and moved to Cooter, where she has since resided.
The deceased was a member of the Cooter M.E. Church and had been a member of the royal Neighbor Lodge of Cooter for 29 years, and of which she was a past Grand Matron. She was a kind and loving wife, a true friend and neighbor, and will be sadly missed by many.
The survivors are the husband; a granddaughter, Miss Marjorie Paul, who has lived with her grandparents since a small child, one sister, Mrs. Vanta Abbott of cottonwood; three half-sisters, Mrs. Cora Morgan of Russellville, Ind., Mrs. Net Clark of Noblesville, Ind., and Mrs. Alice Welcher of Paragould; two step-daughters: Mrs. Lydia Hicks, of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Erma Martin of Pinecastle, Fla., other close relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, at the Methodist Church in Cooter, conducted by the pastor, Rev. H.L. Wagner. Interment was made in the Mount Zion Cemetery. German Undertaking Co. had charge of arrangements.
The pallbearers were Messrs. Jack Rushing, Ralph Innis, Marcus Limbaugh, James Terry, Jack McClure and Paul Cooper. The flower girls were members of the Royal Neighbor Lodge.
