Diane Mooney, 69, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016, in Deering. She was born to the late Leonard Decker and Mildred Rogers Decker on Oct. 24, 1946, in Memphis, Tenn. She was united in marriage to Dennis Mooney on Nov. 13, 1970, Peoria, Ariz.
Mrs. Mooney was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Decker and Mildred Rogers Decker.
Survivors of Mrs. Mooney include her husband; Dennis Mooney of Deering; three sons, David Clarance Rogers and Kam of Risco, Tracy Wayne Rogers and Joanna of Steele and Joseph Oscar Mooney and Kim of Deering; one sister, June Howeton of Kennett; one brother, Howard Goodman of Mississippi; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mooney were held at 2 p.m Wednesday, March 16 with Rev. Danny J. Pankey officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation was held from 12 noon until the time of the service.
Pallbearers were Tracy Rogers, David Rogers, Vernon Rogers, Rocky Rogers, Jimmy Rogers and David Rogers Jr.
Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
