Burmon Maybelle Morton, 80, of Steele, Mo., died Thursday, November 4, 1993, at St. Bernard Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born February 13, 1913 at Steele, Mrs. Morton was a daughter of the late Wallace B. Flood and Lydia Northcutt Flood.
Mrs. Morton also was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Clell Flood; and two sisters; Helen Culp and Lillian King.
Affiliated with the Denton (Mo.) Assembly of God Church, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Morton leaves two sons: Joe Wallace Morton and Jimmie Hooper Morton, both of Steele; Two daughters: Jean Turnbow of Jonesboro and Shirley Ann Moss of Cameron, Mo.; One brother, Wallace "Polkie" Flood, of Steele; Twelve grandchildren; and Ten great-grandchldren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Morton were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 1993, at Bradshaw German-Aumon Funeral Home in Steele with Rev. Gerald Moss officiating, assisted by Rev. Charles Clark.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Bradshaw German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge.

Funeral services for Joe Hooper Morton were held Monday, December 6, at 10:00 a.m., at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Rev. Gerald Moss officiated.
Mr. Morton was born May 26, 1912 in Hardin County, Tennessee, and died December 4, 1982, at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. He was 70.
He leaves his wife, Burmon Morton, of the home; Two daughters, Mrs. Norma Jean Turnbow of Jonesboro, and Mrs. Shirley Ann Moss of Savannah, Missouri; One sister, Mrs. Lorene Ledford of Rockford, Illinois; One brother, Levi Morton of Kewanee, Missouri; and Sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
