Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean Flowers of Wardell, were held Monday, July 29, 2 p.m., at The John W. German Funeral Home in Steele. Mr. Walter Lumpkin officiated.
Mrs. Flowers was born January 1, 1930 in Steele and died July 26, 1985 at the Piggott Hospital in Piggott, Ark., at the age of 55.
The daughter of H.G. Bomar and the late Mary Holbert Bomar, she was united in marriage to John Claude Flowers November 6, 1947, at Piggott. She was a former resident of Campbell, before moving to Wardell.
She leaves her husband, John C. Flowers of Wardell; Two sons, John Flowers of Orange, Va., and David Flowers of Bernie, Mo.; One daughter, Mrs. Gayla Elizabeth Baker of Malden; Her father, H.G. Bomar of Steele; Three sisters, Mrs. Jonnie Cecil of Casa Grande, Ariz., Mrs. Fannie McKenna of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Carolyn Barton of Campbell; Two brothers, Bob Bomar of Steele and H.G. Bomar Jr. of Patton, Mo.; and Five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Cecil, Buck Ballentine, Jerry Baker, Delbert DePriest, Chip Smith and Louis DePriest.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele with The John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
