Bulah M. Haynes was born July 30, 1917, at Hayti, Missouri and died March 21, 1987, at the Mississippi County Hospital in Blytheville, Arkansas. She was 69.
Mrs. Haynes had lived in the Steele area most of her life. On May 27, 1939, at Caruthersville she was united in marriage to Clovis Haynes, who preceded her in death January 17, 1984.
She was the daughter of the late W.H. Brewer and Minnie Newman Brewer.
She leaves a son - Eugene Haynes of Steele; five daughters - Mrs. Joan Wilson of Hayti, Mrs. Margaret Dildine and Mrs. Christine Kennedy, both of Steele, Missouri, Mrs. Brenda Underwood of Cooter, Missouri and Mrs. Juanita Tomlin of Steele; Two sisters - Mrs. Hazel Boyer of Dodson, Louisiana and Mrs. Opal Altom of Pascagoula, Mississippi; 30 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 24, 1987, at 2:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele iwth Rev. Charles Faught officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele, John W. German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Jim Dildine, Michael Dildine, Carl Dildine, Dennis Kennedy, Jr., Howard Underwood, and Bill Underwood.

Funeral services for Clovis Haynes of Steele were held Thursday, January 19, at 2:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele. Rev. Charles Faught officiated.
Mr. Haynes was born May 19, 1921, at Linden, Tenn., and died January 17, 1984, at the Baptist-Central Hospital in Memphis at the age of 62. He was a retired factory employee.
The son of the late George and Beaula Haynes, he was united in marriage to Beaula Brewer May 27, 1939, in Caruthersville.
He leaves his wife; One son, Eugene Haynes of Steele; Five daughters, Mrs. Margaret Dildine, Mrs. Juanita Tomlin, Mrs. Christine Kennedy, all of Steele, Mrs. Brenda Underwood of Holland, and Joan Collins of Cahokia, Ill.
One brother, Jack Haynes of Steele; Five sisters, Mrs. Lois Henery of Senath, Mo., Mrs. Nell Gray, Mrs. Evelyn Wright, both of Steele, Mrs. Lucille Lawhorn of St. Louis, and Mrs. Jewel Cox of Bay, Ark.; and Twenty-nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Howard Wright, Frankie Jumper, Charles Jumper, Douglas Smithwick, Keith Haynes and Donny Wright.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with the John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
