Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Steele last Friday afternoon for Mrs. Donna Bell Craven, 88, wife of A.A. Craven of that city, who died on Wednesday night. The Rev. Marvin Niblack conducted the funeral and burial was in Mt. Zion cemetery.
Mrs. Craven was born in Hardin County, Tenn., but had lived in Steele for 61 years.
She is survived by her husband; three sons Tillard Craven of this city, Ezra Craven of Steele and Eutress Craven of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Mrs. Zana Verpletse of South Bend, Ind.; two brothers, Joe and Elman Griggs of Steele; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A.A. Cravens, 83, Steele, retired Pemiscot county farmer and father of Tillard Cravens, of this city, died Sunday in Nashville, Tenn.; where he was visiting another son and funeral services were held at the Steele Methodist church Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. Howard Conner officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion cemetery.
Mr. Cravens had extensive land holdings in the Steele area where he had made his home for 30 years.
He leaves three sons, Tillard of this city, Ezra Cravens, Steele and Eutress Cravens, Nashville; one daughter Mrs. Zana Uerphoetse, South Bend, Ind.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
