Funeral services were held Friday, November 12, 1976 at the John W. German Funeral Home for Horace Edward Wicker of Steele. Mr. Wicker died at his home on Bates Street, Wednesday, November 10 at the age of 64. He was a retired farmer and was also employed by the city of Caruthersville in the Water Department. He was the son of the late Charlie and Johnnie Reddick Wicker.
He leaves two sons: Edward Wicker and Terry Wicker of Steele; two daughters, Mrs. Elisa Derrick of Wilson, Ark., and Mrs. Charm Mitchell of Caruthersville; one brother, Jess Wicker, of Assumption, Ill., and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Olan Johnson, Hamp Akins, Luther Howell, Jack Akins, Jess Bolton and Larry Adams. Rev. David Hart officiated at the services, with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery at Steele. John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
