Janey Kay Ham, 62, of Denton, died Monday, June 27, 2005, in Mountain Home, Ark.

Born August 13, 1942, in Denton, she was the daughter of Gaither Brumley King and the late Otha King.

Janey was united in marriage to Calvin Ham on May 20, 1960, in Kennett.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Denton.

Mrs. Ham leaves her husband, Calvin Ham, of Denton; her mother, Gaither King, of Denton; two sons: Adam Ham and his wife Kelly of Longview, Texas and Derek Ham and his wife Jennifer of North Bend, Oregon; one daughter, Camillia Harris of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Ralph King and his wife June of St. Peters; four grandchildren: Leslie Anda of Memphis, Jenna Ham of North Bend, and Shawn Sullivan and Amy Osborn, both of San Antonio, Texas; and one great-grandson, Connor.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ham were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005, at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with the Rev. Fred Pritchett officiating.

Burial was at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele with Powell Funeral Home in charge of services.

Pallbearers were Joe Lindsey, Josh Morton, Joel Morton, Roger Pritchett, Gary Jarred and Gary Ward.

Honorary pallbearers were Dallas Jarred, DeWayne Barnes, Junior Lindsey and Kerry Brumley.
