Phyllis J. (Hartsock) Roberts, 88 of Cabool, MO passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at her daughter’s home near West Plains, MO. She was born on December 12, 1927 in Franklin County, IN.
Phyllis moved to Cabool at the age of 2 to be raised by Rev. A.W. and Josie Adkins. She attended all twelve years of school at Cabool, graduating with the Class of 1945. In 1946, she was united in marriage to Charles James Roberts and to this union they had 7 children.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Hazel Hartsock; foster parents, Rev. AW and Josie Adkins; her husband, Charles; two sons-in-law; a grandson-in-law; five siblings and seven foster siblings. She is survived by her children, Donna (Roberts) Lambdin of Rogersville, MO, Beverly (Roberts) Michelsen of Lewisville, TX, Charles Gene Roberts of Stigler, OK, Ann (Roberts) Zimmerman of West Plains, MO, Normalea Roberts of Texas, Denise (Roberts) Clark of Rolla, MO and David James Roberts of Sugar Grove, IL; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and another great great grandson in 2 weeks; sister, Margaret Keltner; an aunt, Carol Clary Pippen; as well as many friends and relatives who will miss her dearly.
