Obituary - Another old citizen and veteran of the Civil War has passed away. Mr. Marsena R. Clark, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Willa Klote, of Edina, Mo., May 29, 1913, was born in Delaware County, Ohio, April 15, 1842. When a young man he moved to Iowa and thence to Missouri.

He enlisted in the civil war among the first seventy-five thousand who went to fight for their country, and remained in the service until the close of the war.

On October 31, 1880, he was married to Nancy Louisa Lamberson. To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. Willa Margaret Klote of Edina, Mo., and Mrs. Jesse Monroe Davis of Novelty, Mo., who are left to mourn the loss of a kind and good father and mother, the mother having preceded the father by eleven months and twenty days.

He confessed his faith in Christ about a year ago and was baptized by the writer at Hazel Dell Christian Church, Knox County, Mo., and became a member of that church, and lived and died in the faith and service of the Lord.

He was a true and valiant solder and saw much service and hardship. He was a good citizen, honest and industrious, and provided well for his family.

The funeral services were held at Hazel Dell Saturday at 1 p.m., conducted by the writer, and the body was laid to rest in the near by cemetery to await the Resurrection Morn.
