Minnie L. Cook, Age 86, of Neosho, Mo. passed away at 1:26 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.

Minnie was born November 11, 1925 in Neosho, Mo. the daughter of Marshal and Alice Russell Robinson. She retired from Lazy-Boy Mfg. Co. in Neosho and had also worked for Big Smith Mfg. Co and Bone Dry Shoe Factory. She was a member of the Spring City Church of Christ, the Widow to Widow program in Neosho and a quilting club.

Minnie married Louie H. Cook December 8, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1971. She was also preceded in death by five brothers; Virgil, Everett, Albert, Earnest, and Marion Robinson, and two sisters, Mary Alice Leighty, and Etta Mae Bowman. Survivors include two sisters, Martha Long, Topeka, KS, and Edna Young, Albuquerque, NM, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel in Joplin with Don Hart, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow at the New Salem Cemetery in Neosho. Pallbearers will be Mervin Robinson, Tony Long, Donny Long, James Bowman, Elijah Bowman, and Jon Bowman. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
