Eda Jean Hembree Childress Breedlove, 61, Neosho, died at 10:30 p.m., Sat. Feb. 3, 2007 at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 19, 1945 in Denver, Colo., to William "Abe" and Iva Maxine (Eads) Hembree.
Mrs. Breedlove was a lifelong area resident and a factory worker. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy E. Breedlove, and by a brother, Ronald E. Hembree. She is survived by two children, Theresa Jean Childress, Neosho, and Douglas Childress and wife, Janice, Goodman: a grandson, Gary Lee Hall, Goodman: four stepchildren, Jamie, Julie, Jeanie and Jodie, all of Kingman, Ariz.; a brother, Gene Hembree and wife Barbara, Warsaw, MO: special in-laws, Bill and Dorothy Childress, Neosho: sister-in-law, Emma Hembree, Neosho; a very special person in her life, Nina Kirby, Grove, OK; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wed. Feb. 7, at New Salem Cemetery, Southwest of Neosho, with Rev. Ken Robinson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 8 am to 6 pm and Wed. from 8 am to 2 pm.
