KENNETH C. WRIGHT
Kenneth C. (Joner) Wright, 59, of 1231 South Ferguson, died at Burge Hospital at 2:45 a.m. today.

Mr. Wright was a member of the First Baptist Church, at Clinton where he was born and raised. But he had been a resident of Springfield the past 39 years. He was superintendent of the Springfield Ice and Refrigeration Company, where he was employed the past 28 years.

Survivors are his wife, Thelma; three daughters, Mrs. Dorsi Smith, 1646 South New, Mrs. Dorothy Copeland, 1425 Overbrook, and Miss Pat Wright of the home; two brothers, Marvin, Barkersfield, Calif., and William, of La Puente, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Opal Jenkins, Clinton, Mrs. Dorothy Menefee, Clinton, and Mrs. Helen Burns, Kansas City; and four grandchildren.

Arrangements are under direction of Klingner.

Funeral services for Kenneth C. (Joner) Wright, 59, of 1231 South Ferguson, who died at 2:45 a.m. Monday, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Klingner Chapel. Dr. Blake Westmoreland will officiate and burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Thelma D. Wright, 87, Springfield, Mo., passed away at 3:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 1995, in Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She had been a patient there since April 1989.

Thelma was the daughter of Claude and Ethel Perkins, born Feb. 21, 1908, and lived most of her life in Springfield.

Thelma retired from Day Care at Grant Avenue Baptist Church where she was a long time member.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; two brothers, Frank and Wilbur; sister, Pauline Lowry; and a sister-in-law, Allene Perkins.

She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Doris and Bob Smith, Dorothy and Bill Copeland and Pat and Ray Chenhall; five grandchildren, Kenneth C. Smith, Cynthia "Cindy" Garoutte, Patricia "Patti" L. Phillips, Judith "Judi" Palmer, and Jeffrey Chenhall; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 1995, in Klingner Mortuary. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:3o p.m. today in the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grant Avenue Baptist Church Day Care, 1033 N. Grant, Springfield, MO.
