Robert K. Morris
Robert Keith Morris, 85, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
He was born September 15, 1930, in Sedalia, son of Robert K. and Dorothy M. Almond Morris, who preceded him in death.
On April 29, 1952, in Sedalia, he married Joy Jordan, who preceded him in death on November 9, 2013.
Robert worked for many years as a professional painter. He was also a skilled gunsmith. He enjoyed flying his plane, fishing and hunting. He served in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are two daughters, Joy Burnum (Dale), of Bossier City, LA, Susan Tanner (Glenn), of Sedalia; one grandson; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, at Crown Hill Cemetery, with Father Mark Miller officiating. The date and time are pending.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter, in care of Heckart Funeral Home.

Joy Morris
Joy Morris, 78, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 29, 1935, in Kansas City, daughter of Charles and Gladys Arlene Whitworth Jordan. On April 29, 1952, in Sedalia, she married Robert Keith Morris, who survives of the home.
Joy enjoyed watching sports, eating chocolate and baking. She enjoyed being a homemaker and mother, and loved being a grandmother.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Joy Burnum (Dale), of Bossier City, LA, and Susan Tanner (Glenn), of Sedalia; one grandson; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, J.D. Lilly, of Calhoun.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at Crown Hill Cemetery, with Father Mark Miller officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter, in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
