THOMAS F. BURGESS
Thomas F. Burgess, 51, died at his home at 2234 Fay avenue here about an hour and a half past midnight this morning. Mr. Burgess was born at Rolla, Mo., and came to Springfield at the age of 17. He had lived here and near here most of the time since, sometimes farming, and sometimes working in the city. He had been ill for about four months. He was a member of the Christian church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Josie Burgess, one son, Louis Lee Burgess, 12, and two daughters, Mrs. Marie Peacock , of Kansas City, and Ruby Burgess, 9, and by eight brothers and four sisters, most of them living in the West Plains vicinity.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Klingner chapel, followed by burial in the Liberty cemetery, 10 miles northeast of Springfield.

Funeral services for Thomas F. Burgess, 51, who died at his home, 2324 Fay avenue, early yesterday morning, will be held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the Klingner chapel, followed by burial in the Liberty cemetery, 10 miles northeast of Springfield. Mr. Burgess, was born in Rolla, Mo ., and came to Springfield at the age of 17. He has lived in and near Springfield virtually ever since, sometimes farming and sometimes working in the city. He was a member of the Christian church.
