*John Bowman: February 8, 1912, Cassville Republican
John A. Bowman who has been at the county farm for the past ten months died Monday night from epilepsy. He was found dead in his bed early Tuesday morning. Bowman had been in a bad condition for some time and his death was not unexpected. He had relatives living northwest of Cassville.

**William Crow: December 16, 1915, Cassville Republican - Break Jail: Wm. Crow and George Harbin worked their way out of the county jail here Friday afternoon about five o'clock. Sheriff Brixey had gone to Monett on official business and Deputy Fred Hessee had taken Crow and Harbin out to carry in wood for the night. Upon taking them back into the jail he locked them into the room in which the street cage is located and went to the house to get the supper for the prisoners. While he was away they knocked a hole in the brick wall and escaped. The walls of this room should be reinforced concrete. As it is a man confined in the jail for a mere misdemeanor charge must be placed in a cell in the steal cage or leave him with the standing temptation to escape. The brick wall can be gone through at any time. Harbin had about 30 days to serve and Crow about 3 months. - March 9, 1916, Cassville Republican - Wm. Crow, aged about fifty years, died Thursday morning in the county jail where he had been incarcerated for sometime under a charge of white slavery. A charge of breaking jail was also against him. He had been sick for about ten days, taking sick first with lagrippe. He is said to have left six children in Arkansas, all under age. His body was buried Friday at the County farm.
