Barker Cemetery
1843
Here in unmarked graves lie
George Barker, his first wife Leah and his second wife Martha.
Doubtless some of Martha's 13 slaves were buried here before emancipation.
Free of the stigma of of slavery
descendants of both families
were buried here into the late 1900's.
There are many unmarked graves in this cemetery.
