Missouri Ann Buzzard, better known as Sude Buzzard, 87 years old, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ercel Johnson, at 802 Connecticut Avenue, in Joplin, at 7:40 o'clock Wednesday morning, following a few weeks illness.
Mrs. Buzzard had lived in this district for many years, and was the widow of James K. Polk Buzzard. For some time she made her home with a son, Walter Buzzard, near Racine, but recently had lived with Mrs. Johnson in Joplin.
She was born in Monett on December 2, 1858, and was a resident of Newton County for 80 years. Mrs. Buzzard united with the Church of Christ at Racine in 1893 and lived a good Christian life.
Surviving are 2 sons, Walter Buzzard, of Neosho, route 1, and Sherman Buzzard, of Iowa Park, Texas; the daughter, Mrs. Ercel Johnson, of Joplin; 6 grandchidlren and 3 great grandchildren. Two sons preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the chapel of the Buzzard Mortuary, with Bro. Chris Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Buzzard Cemetery.
