Wanda Maxine Sullivan, 78, of Steele, died Monday, July 11, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born July 26, 1926, in Luxora, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Alex Daniel Presnell and Pearl Beatrice Bohannan Presnell. She was also preceded in death by one son, Richard Milan Hastings, Jr. and three brothers, William Presnell, Delbert Presnell and Pat Presnell.
In 1950, in Piggott, Ark., Wanda was united in marriage to Milan Hastings, who preceded in death. She was then united in marriage to Wilbourn Sullivan in 1965 at New Madrid. He also preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
Mrs. Sullivan leaves four sons: James Daniel Hastings, Billy Mac Hastings and Barry Dale Sullivan, all of Cape Girardeau, and Jerry Wayne Hastings of St. Louis; One daughter, Wanda Jean Hastings McDonald, of Steele; One brother, Harry Presnell, of Valley Park; One sister, Ruthie Nadine Presnell Williamson, of Holland; Eight grandchildren; Three step grandchildren; and Seven great-great-grandchildren and expecting two more soon.
Graveside services for Mrs. Sullivan were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Bro. Paul Aydelott officiating.
Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of services.
Pallbearers were Ray Cowens, James Hastings, Jr., Waymon Duncan, Ricky Hastings, Howard Underwood and Richard McDonald.
