Wife of James 'Jim' Calvin Roberts. Raised her sister Grace Howard's children Thomas Lee Howard and Oscar Eugene Howard.
Dottie Mae Roberts, the daughter of the late Emma Adelene Waite Bond, was born October 21, 1907 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi, and died in Blytheville, Arkansas, July 12, 1986 at the age of 78. On August 3, 1927 she was married to James C. Roberts. He preceded her in death.
Service was from German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel Monday, July 14, 1986 at 2:00 p.m.
Rev. David Hart and Rev. Tim Abanathy officiated.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Steele, with arrangements by German-Aumon Funeral Home.
Mrs. Roberts leaves two step-sons: James Roberts of Arvin, California and Oscar Amos Roberts of St. Louis, Missouri; one nephew formerly of the residence; Oscar Eugene Howard of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, O. D. Bond of Steele; and four sisters: Ida Sprayberry of Moscow, Tennessee; Viola Glover of Memphis; Clyde Barger and Clara Lawhorn, both of Cooter, Missouri.
One nephew, Thomas Lee Howard, three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
