Friday, November 7, 1947:
Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church at Holland Friday for Will Atkinson, 65, who passed away at the family residence Thursday, October 30.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Atkinson of Holland; five sons, Raymond Atkinson of Vancoom, Wash., Paul Atkinson of Oakland, Calif., Clem Atkinson of the U.S. Army, Johnny Atkinson of Holland, Russell Atkinson of Holland; seven daughters, Mrs. Louis Howren of Holland, Mrs. Martha Jones of Cardwell, Mo., Mrs. Claudine Knighten of Steele, Mrs. Patty Armstrong of Steele, Mrs. Pauline Hawkins of Steele, Mrs. Mona J. Ayers of Steele, Mrs. Glenda Atkinson of St. Louis and two brothers, Jim and Charlie Atkinson of St. Louis.
Interment was at Mt. Zion Cemetery with German Undertaking Co. in charge.
