Patricia Chapman Hayes, age 72, of Mount Vernon, MO, formally of Pierce City, MO, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at her home in Mount Vernon, MO. Mrs.Hayes was born in Pierce City, MO on Friday, June 12, 1942. She was daughter of Willie and Nadene (Robinson) Chapman. Patricia married Ray Hayes June 29, 1990, in Miami, OK and he preceded her in death on December 21, 2004. Mrs. Hayes was a well-known, retired school teacher and after retiring she became a foster Grandparent. Mrs. Hayes was a member of the Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are the following: her daughter, Regina Tebow of Mount Vernon, MO; one son, Wade Carlin and wife, Kasey, of West Fargo, ND; one brother, Bill Chapman of Springfield, MO; and two grandchildren, Regan Carlin and Chance Reynolds.
The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Friday, September 12, 2014, from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Saturday, September 13, 2014, beginning at 1:00 PM with Rev. Tim Steeley and Carl Claas officiating. Burial will follow at Schooling Cemetery in Piece City, MO.
Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.
