Laurie Cutbirth Lynn Fricke
Laurie Lynn (Cutbirth) Fricke was born May 15, 1973, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to George and Catherine (Thomas) Cutbirth. Laurie departed this life on March 30, 2010, in Sheridan, Wyoming. She now resides in her heavenly home with her Lord and Savior for eternity.
Laurie was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter and friend. She was a loving, caring and compassionate person with a servant's heart; selfish to none and caring to all. Laurie always sought to put others needs above her own. She was known in her community as a willing volunteer for the Salvation Army, Sheridan Veterans Hospital, various women's shelters and others that needed help. Laurie accepted Christ as her Lord at the young age of eight and served him faithfully. She was a very active member of First Presbyterian of Sheridan, Wyoming.
Laurie grew up in a military family where she lived in several locations throughout the United States and Europe. She attended Junior High School in Bamberg, Germany and in 1991 graduated from Nurenberg High School in Nurenberg, Germany. Laurie attended Harford Community College while working for the Army and Air Force Exchange at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland.
Laurie was a proud Veteran of the United States Army where she served as a combat medic from 1995 to 2001. She was a true Patriot that loved her country.
Laurie is survived by her husband, Michael Fricke and daughter Ryan Nicole Mauck; her parents, George and Catherine Cutbirth; two brothers, George Paul Cutbirth and wife Melissa, and Matthew Thomas Cutbirth and wife Ashley; maternal grandparents, Freddie Thomas and Shirley L. (Andrus) Thomas.
Laurie was a very proud and wonderful aunt to Kayla, Emma, Matthew and Lilah. Laurie also leaves a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. Laurie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Richard and Betty Cutbirth; and two uncles, Maynard Thomas and Richard E. Cutbirth.
Visitation will be Monday April 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010, in First Baptist Church of Crane. Laurie's final resting place will be Short Cemetery in Hurley, Missouri on the banks of Spring Creek.
Laurie you are missed so much by all that loved and knew you. We are so very proud and blessed that GOD allowed us to have you in our lives. We know that you are not gone and we will see you again. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harbour House, Christian Associates of Kimberling City, Missouri, in care of Westrip Funeral Home.
