Funeral services for Dewey J. Langley, 80, of Crane, will be held at 10 a.m., June 6, 2009, at Manlove-Stumpff Chapel in Crane with the Rev. Kevin Baker officiating. Burial will be at Short Cemetery in Hurley under the direction Stumpff Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. June 5, 2009, in the funeral home.

He died June 3, 2009, in his home.

He was born Feb. 7, 1929, in Hurley, son of Leon and Gladys Wright Langley. He married Sue Wayne Foster in 1950 and lived in the area the past 25 years coming from Kansas City. He worked as director of purchasing for Kansas City Life Insurance Co. He was a U. S. Army veteran and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Wayne Langley, of Crane; sons, Jimmie Langley, and wife, Cheryl, of Carthage, John Langley, and wife, Elizabeth, of Bois D'Arc, Jeff Langley, and wife, Debra, of Mount Vernon, and Jay Langley, and wife, Angie, of Nixa; daughter, Joyce Gardner, and husband, Roy, of Republic; sister, Mary Etta Wolfe, and husband, Willis, of Hurley; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ozark Mountain Regional Healthcare Center-Alzheimer's Unit in Crane.
