Fannie Ruth Bomar McKenna, 83, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, in Blytheville, Ark. She was born April 20, 1934, in Steele to the late Henry German Bomar Sr., and Mary Holbert Bomar. She was united in marriage with the love of her life, Bill William McKenna, in Caruthersville. She started her schooling at New Survey, then graduated from Steele High School and went on to beauty school in Kennett, Mo. She retired from Randell Company in Blytheville, Ark.
Mrs. McKenna was preceded in death by her parents, Henry German Bomar Sr., and Mary Holbert Bomar; husband, Bill William McKenna; four sisters, Betty Jean Flowers, Johnnie Pauline Cecil, Peggy Ann Bomar and Alice Mona Bomar.
Survivors of Mrs. McKenna include two brothers, H.G. "Bub" Bomar Jr., of Farmington, Mo., and Bob Bomar and Doris of Denton, Mo.; one sister, Alice Carolyn Barton and Kenneth of Campbell, Mo., and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Mrs. McKenna were held at Powell Funeral with Rev. Dave Lewelling officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
