Wanda Mae Ruckman, age 83, Springfield, Mo., passed away Friday, June 25, 2010, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

She was born September 11, 1926, in Hurley, Mo., the daughter of Everett L. and Martha (Turner) Jackson.

She was united in marriage to Raymond H. Ruckman on October 6, 1942. Mr. Ruckman passed away August 13, 1987. Wanda's parents; four sisters, Edith Herndon, Agnes Baugh, Margie Gold, and infant Eva Jackson; a brother, Wade Jackson; and a granddaughter, Stacy Ruckman, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by two children, Larry Ruckman and wife Judy, Springfield, Mo., and Kathy Turner and husband Phil, Jefferson City, Mo.; two grandchildren, Susan Stafford and husband Ron, Springfield, Mo., and Cassie Turner, Pittsburgh, Pa.; two great grandchildren, Kaylee and Tanner Stafford; and Marti Corbett, Kansas City, Mo., loved as a daughter.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, June 28, 2010, in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., with Reverend Mary Ann Morris officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Short Cemetery, Hurley, Mo., following the service.
