Mr. Charles Harris, aged 60 years, one month and seven days, died at his home about three miles south of Holland yesterday morning at 11 o'clock after an illness of one year.
The cause of his death was cancer of the esophagus.
Sometime in January he underwent an operation in a St. Louis Hospital, but after returning to his home he gradually grew worse until death relieved him of his suffering
Mr. Harris was a well known and highly respected farmer, having resided in the south end of the county for near 30 years.
