Thomas William Cassidy, 74, of Baton Rouge, La., died Sunday, January 2, 2000 at the Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge.
Born Wednesday, September 30, 1925, in Cooter, Mo., he was the son of the late James Luke Cassidy and Bertha Johnson Cassidy.
A salesman and Army veteran, he was a member of the Holly Grover Baptist Church in Cooter.
Mr. Cassidy leaves one son, Andrew Cassidy and his wife Laurie Anne, of Baton Rouge;
One brother, Floyd Mitchell Cassidy of Hernando, Fla.;
Two sisters, Hazel Lincoln of Oakwood, Ga., and Beth Huddleston of Forrest City, Ark.;
Two granddaughters: Mary Abbie Cassidy and Alice Catherine Cassidy of Baton Rouge;
One grandson, John Lazarus Cassidy, of Baton Rouge; and
A special friend, Elizabeth Grandahl.
Graveside services for Mr. Cassidy were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2000, at the Number Eight Cemetery in Cooter with Rev. Dave Lewelling officiating and Bradshaw Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were Stephen Childers, Bud Brooks, Andrew Cassidy, John L. Cassidy, Bro. Dave Lewelling, Toodle Lovins and Bill Huddleston.
