A former Cooter resident, Bertha Cassidy Nunnery, died Saturday, October 26, 1974, at Obion County (Tn.) Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, October 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter with the Rev. Joe Smith officiating.
She was the widow of the late James L. Cassidy, a former teacher at Cooter and Deering.
Mrs. Nunnery leaves her widower, Elmer Nunnery of Tiptonville, TN.; two daughters, Hazel Lincoln, Gainesville, Ga., and Beth Huddleston, Forrest City, Ark.; three sons, Mitchell Cassidy, Rockville, Md., Thomas Cassidy, Memphis, and James L. Cassidy, Sharpes, Fla.; one brother, Everett Johnson, Merill, Ore.; and four step-children, Sybil Collier, Parma, Ima Lee Ward, Rives, Bobby Henderson, Have Sue, Ariz., and Paul Nunnery, Memphis.
Interment was in No. 8 Cemetery with German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Howard Noble, Jerry Ward, Harold Lincoln, Kenneth Casey, Gary Collier, and Steve Collier.
