Lisa LaDawn Bruton, 43, of Wheaton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in her home.

She was born Feb. 26, 1969, in Prague, Okla., the daughter of Larry L. and Carolyn (Barrett) James. In 1988, in Cassville, she was united in marriage to Shannon Bruton, who survives.

Additional survivors include: two sons, Lucas James, of Golden, and Kylan Bruton, of Wheaton; one daughter, Katelyn Adams, of Cassville; her mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Eldon Skinner, of Purdy; her father, Larry James, of Cassville; two sisters, Stacy Hodge and her husband, Greg, of Cassville, and Jana Weatherford and her husband, T.J., of Mt. Vernon; four grandchildren; maternal grandfather, Clyde Barrett, of Chandler, Okla.; and paternal grandmother, Marie James, of Sparks, Okla.

Preceding her in death were her maternal grandmother, Lorretta Barrett, and paternal grandfather, Elmer James.

She moved from Chandler, Okla., in 1983 and attended Cassville School, where she graduated from high school. She received her LPN license through Franklin Technical Nursing School in Joplin. For several years, she was an LPN at Barry County Care Center in Cassville. She was a member of Cassville First Baptist Church.

Graveside services were held Monday at Hogeye Cemetery, East of Wheaton, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell conducted the services.
